Summer Entertainment....

Since the weather broke and the pool has been open, I have been scouring Craigslist for a movie projector...nothing spectacular or expensive, but something to enjoy movies with the kids on the weekends.  I grew up with several Drive In movie theaters in the area, but as with all good things...they must come to an end.  Why is that anyways?

There is something about sitting in the car, or in a chair on the tail gate of the truck and hanging the old metal speaker from the car window that reminds me of simpler times.

I found a projector...F I N A L L Y...right in our home town, did the research and contacted the seller.  We made arrangement for pick up and off I went later that evening to pick it up...by myself!

I didn't really know where I was going...I just had a pretty good idea of were I needed to be, that is good enough, right?  As I started down the road, the houses were all numbered nicely...even numbers on the right, odd on the left, and if I'd gone to far, I would meet Lake Ontario.  But then as I progressed further down the road, I noticed that the house were no longer nicely numbered, so I began to slow down (to see if the numbers were on the house instead of the mailboxes)..still no numbers...when I finally get to the point that I am sure I've passed it, I come to a house with a sheriff's car...OH NO...I'm not part of a sting operation am I?...It's just a movie projector, and not even a good quality one at that...so I pull out the phone and turn on the "APP" and swear to myself, that if that's the house, forget the projector, I'm not going to jail for that...and Phew...I'm safe...I'm not the target of an under cover operation.  And there you have it ladies and gentleman, the result of a vivid imagination, too many late night watching Criminal Minds, and one sorry female making her first purchase from Craigslist....

We started our movie night with Pizza made on the grill!

Invited some friends over to watch the movie!

Hope you've enjoyed my little story...and perhaps you even chuckled at the expense of my over active imagination!!

Blessings,

Monica
